
Polymath Press was formed in 2006.

The first publication was Roslynn Haynes's
Tasmanian Visions, Landscapes in Literature, Art and Photography,
The result of eight years of research and writing, Tasmanian Visions is the first cultural hisory of Tasmania as seen through responses to landscape by writers, explorers, artists and photographers. It examines the evolution of concepts of wilderness and how we can learn to live with wilderness without destroying it.

Launched by Senator Bob Brown in November 2006, Tasmanian Visions has been widely and favourably reviewed and was short-listed for both the Tasmania Prize and the Margaret Scott Prize in 2009.
