Prize-winning Inapari Alpacas herd for sale
Shogun1_colour
For the last 8 years Inapari Alpacas has focussed on breeding white, light fawn and black Huacaya Alpacas. Now, owing to Raymond's back problems, we are regretfully selling our herd and leaving the alpaca industry.
Since 2002 we have concentrated on developing depth and breadth in our genetics program. Our primary aim has been to breed élite, stud-quality animals with super-fine, dense and super-soft handling fleeces. Today we carry genetics from seven top stud males from across the country, resulting in dramatic improvements in animal genetics, animal conformation, fleece quality and total fleece weight. Our crias have fleeces well below 20 microns in their first clip.
In principle we follow a line-breeding program, but from time to time we also introduce top quality external males to maintain hybrid vigour and complement our line-breeding program.
We are
not involved in the mass-reproduction of alpacas using embryo transfer techniques. We also rest our breeding females regularly so our annual drop of new animals is ~8-14 crias, many being ordered while still suckling.
Crias lead the charge
As well as supplying prize animals for breeding, we have also provided small packages of animals in a range of colours for those just entering the industry, for the pet and hobby market and for farmers requiring wethers as guard animals for sheep.
Fleece Display

We also supply fleece and yarn to spinners, weavers, knitters and fibre sculptors.

The herd of 25 stud breeding animals (including 4 stud males) is for sale at a special price of $35,000. Alternatively, smaller groups of animals are for sale by negotiation. Individual fleeces are also available for sale.
